Zirconium Diselenide Solution Synthesis and Characterization

Alfa Chemistry uses liquid-phase exfoliation, a simple yet cost-effective solution processing approach, to provide customers with tailored solutions containing ZrSe2 flakes. Exfoliation is aided by ultrasonic vibrations in the liquid media, which results in monolayer dispersions and several layers of nanoflakes. Ultrasonic treatment of high-quality single-crystal ZrSe2 flakes and high-purity dispersions is the first step in our procedure. To obtain high-quality goods with no deformation, our ultrasonic treatment technology changes the ultrasonic treatment temperature, gas environment, ultrasonic treatment power, pulse duration, and pulse dwell time. Depending on your needs, we can create single layer, few layer, multi-layer, or even bulk layered solutions.

Custom solutions are stable under ambient conditions and can be easily deposited on the substrate or surface of your choice. The crystallinity of ZrSe2 has been characterized by Raman spectroscopy, electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Note

We primarily ship supersaturated 2D solutions, the concentration of which varies depending on the type of 2D layer, to save shipping costs and simplify the customs protocol/border inspection process. Once the supersaturated solution is in the customer's hands, it can be diluted to a considerable volume (250-500mL). The customer can then use a simple rotational casting procedure to put the 2D layer onto the specified substrate. Please contact us if you have any additional inquiries.
