Hafnium Diselenide Solution Customization

Hafnium diselenide (HfSe2) is a two-dimensional (2D) layered semiconductor that belongs to the group IV transition metal disulfide family (TMDC). Because of the availability of a naturally compatible HfO2 with an excellent high dielectric, the 2D semiconductor HfSe2 is becoming increasingly popular in electronic devices. It's one of the first two-dimensional materials that imitate silicon's technologically relevant features on atomically thin and smaller circuits.

Alfa Chemistry specializes in 2D nanomaterials research and deals with MXenes and MAX phase materials, black phosphorus, etc. Our R&D team is led by a group of PhDs with international studies and years of research experience. We can "customize" our HfSe2 solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Please contact us today to assist you in solving your application problems quickly.

Hafnium Diselenide Synthesis and Characterization

Depending on your needs, Alfa Chemistry can create unique HfSe2 solutions in monolayers, few layers, numerous layers, or even bulk layering. In their bulk state, the weak bonding interactions between the HfSe2 layers make them easy to exfoliate into layered structures. For the preparation of HfSe2 nanosheet dispersions, we use liquid phase exfoliation, a well-studied process. The HfSe2 powder was disseminated in the required solvent. The dispersions were sonicated for 5 hours to completely dissolve the powder. To make HfSe2 dispersions, the HfSe2 dispersions were centrifuged for 30 minutes.

HfSe2 crystal precursors are developed in our state-of-the-art flux-zone technology. Each growth takes about three months to produce excellent crystals free of halides for the customer. Each crystal is extremely crystalline, has a 0001 orientation, and is easily exfoliated. SEM photos, high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images, electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy, and radio photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) tests have all validated the characterisation of HfSe2 crystals.

To assure structural, optical, and electronic uniformity, our developers collect feature datasets in each sample. They've been tweaked to work with the best industrial semiconductor grade materials: excellent stoichiometry; large single domain sizes; single phase materials without any mixed phase or amorphous content.

Note

In order to reduce shipping costs, we mainly ship supersaturated 2D solutions, the concentration of which depends specifically on the type of 2D layer. The supersaturated solution can be diluted to a large amount after the customer gets it. It is then deposited onto the desired substrate by a simple and cost effective rotary casting process for the 2D layer.
