Molybdenum Tungsten Disulfide Solution Customization

Molybdenum tungsten disulfide (MoWS2) is an alloy of transition metal disulfides (TMDCs). MoWS2 has a hexagonal crystal structure, and the monolayers are stacked together by van der Waals interactions to form a bulk alloy. Each monolayer contains one MoW plane interspersed with two S planes, denoted as S-MoW-S layers. It has good thermodynamic stability at room temperature.

MoWS2 thin nanosheets with tunable band gaps, band edge positions, and effective mass of carriers have applications in electrochemistry and excellent hydrogen precipitation reaction properties.

Molybdenum Tungsten Disulfide Synthesis and Characterization

Alfa Chemistry offers high-quality monolayer MoWS2 bespoke solutions that are widely used in the catalytic community to its customers. We generate MoWS2 flake solutions by exfoliating 99.995 percent of the mass of MoWS2 synthetic crystals using an ultrasound-assisted liquid technique. This is a straightforward but cost-effective solution processing technique that yields high-quality and dependable results.

After our specialized and delicate processing steps, custom MoWS2 solutions are environmentally stable, as well as consistent and reliable PL and Raman results. The PL signal is enhanced compared to solutions prepared from WS2 nanopowders.

The monolayer solution's concentration is set at 92 mg/L. Thin film coatings can be easily deposited on a number of substrates or surfaces using custom solutions. Ultrasonic treatment of the peeled MoWS2 layers yields highly crystalline WS2 monolayers because the generated MoWS2 crystals are highly crystalline. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy, and radioluminescence photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements were used to characterize the MoWS2 nanomaterials.

We mostly offer supersaturated 2D solutions to decrease shipping expenses. The concentration is determined by the type of 2D layer. After the consumer has the supersaturated solution, it can be diluted to a significant level. Because of its environmental stability, dispersant properties, and non-polluting nature, Alfa Chemistry recommends ethanol as a dispersant.
