Alfa Chemistry provides customers with customized ReSe2 solutions. This product is a ReSe2 flakes solution in an ethanol-containing media. There are various other dispersions available. Among the dispersions we may give are ethanol, isopropanol, deionized water, and NMP, among others.

Rhenium Diselenide Solution Synthesis and Characterization

To achieve high quality ReSe2 flakes distributed in solution, pulsed sonication of high quality ReSe2 crystals synthesized via the flux zone approach is used. Because ReSe2 is a very crystalline starting material, sonication to delaminate yields extremely crystalline h-BN monolayers, a few layers, and some large layers suspended in the dispersion. As a result, we may create single, few, multi-layer, or even bulk layered solutions to meet your needs. Please specify the type of solution you require when requesting a quotation.

Custom solutions are ecologically friendly and simple to apply to a variety of substrates and surfaces. The thickness of ReSe2 flakes deposited on various substrates ranges from 1 L to numerous layers and multilayers, with lateral dimensions ranging from around 25 nm to 10 µm.

Information on the crystallinity of ReSe2 flakes has been characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

In order to reduce shipping costs, we mainly ship supersaturated 2D solutions, the concentration of which depends specifically on the type of 2D layer. The supersaturated solution can be diluted into a large amount after the customer gets it. The customer can then deposit the 2D layer onto the desired substrate by a simple process. We recommend ethanol as a dispersion due to its environmental stability, dispersant properties, and non-polluting nature.
