- Zirconium Disulfide Solution Customization
Zirconium disulfide (ZrS2) has a layered structure and belongs to group IV transition metal disulfides (TMDCs). ZrS2 is very sensitive, thermodynamically stable, and environmentally friendly. Because of its better carrier mobility and higher current density at room temperature, ZrS2 is a promising optoelectronic material for low-power devices. For usage in thermoelectrics, solar cells, photodetectors, FETs, and catalytic hydrogen production, ZrS2 single molecule films demonstrate strong n-type transport characteristics and high mobility.

The ZrS2 custom solutions from Alfa Chemistry are made up of monolayers and several thick layers suspended in various dispersion solutions and are widely utilized in the catalytic community as well as for electronic measurements. Because of its good dispersion, stability, and performance, we will deliver ZrS2 sheets suspended in isopropyl alcohol by default. We also have isopropanol, deionized water, and NMP dispersions. Ultrasonic treatment of high quality single crystal ZrS2 flakes and high purity dispersions (99.9999 percent purity of electronic grade chemicals) is the first step in our manufacturing process. Ultrasonic vibrations in the liquid medium contribute to exfoliation in the liquid phase exfoliation process, which helps to exfoliate and form dispersions of monolayers and many layers of nanosheets. To produce high quality goods with no deformation, we vary the ultrasonic treatment temperature, gas environment, ultrasonic treatment power, pulse duration, and pulse dwell time. Depending on your needs, we may create extremely crystalline monolayers, few-layers, multilayers, or even bulk layered solutions.

The ZrS2 custom solutions are highly stable in the environment and can be easily deposited on a variety of substrates or surfaces. The thickness of ZrS2 flakes deposited on various substrates ranges from 1 L to larger flakes, with lateral sizes ranging from around 10 nm to a few microns. Electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have all been used to determine the crystallinity of ZrS2.

We primarily ship supersaturated 2D solutions, depending on the type of 2D layer, to save shipping costs and simplify the customs protocol/border inspection process. Once the customer has the supersaturated solution, it can be diluted into a bulk solution. The customer can then use a simple rotational casting procedure to put the 2D layer onto the desired substrate. Please contact us if you have any additional inquiries.
