The lightest and cheapest Group IV TMDC material is titanium disulfide (TiS2). TiS2 is a semimetal with an indirect energy band overlap of approximately 0.12 eV when in bulk form, and a semiconductor when strain or pressure is applied as a monolayer.
The octahedral (1T) phase of TiS2 crystallizes more energetically stable than the hexagonal (2H) phase. The transition metal disulfide family's lightest member is monolayer TiS2. TiS2 has been effectively employed as an electrode material for rechargeable sodium-ion and lithium-ion batteries, and it has interesting applications in energy conversion and storage systems.
Alfa Chemistry is a two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials specialist. Our research and development team is led by a group of PhDs with international experience and years of research. Our TiS2 custom solutions can be "personalized" to match the needs of our customers. Please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist you in rapidly resolving your application problems.
Alfa Chemistry offers custom solutions of TiS2 consisting of TiS2 monolayers, few layers, or thick flakes suspended in dispersion. By default, we will provide TiS2 flakes suspended in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) because of the good dispersion, stability, and high performance of IPA. In addition, we offer other dispersions: ethanol, IPA, deionized water, NMP, etc. If you need other solvents for your research, please contact us for more details.
In graphene, BN, layered chalcogenides, and transition metal disulfides, liquid exfoliation has proven to be a scalable and versatile technique for producing high-yield 2D nanosheets. Ultrasonic treatment of high-quality single-crystal TiS2 flakes and high-purity dispersion solutions (99.9999 percent purity of electronic grade chemicals) is the first step in our procedure. To obtain high-quality goods with no deformation, we vary the ultrasonic treatment temperature, gas environment, ultrasonic treatment power, pulse duration, and pulse dwell time. Depending on your needs, we can create single layer, few layer, multi-layer, or even bulk layered solutions.

Custom solutions are stable in the presence of oxygen and can be easily deposited on any substrate or surface. The lateral dimensions of TiS2 flakes deposited on various substrates range from 60 nm to a few microns, while the thickness ranges from 1 L to thicker flakes. Various characterizations of TiS2 flakes have been measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), electron energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX), Raman spectroscopy, and radio photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

In order to reduce shipping costs, we mainly ship supersaturated 2D solutions, the concentration of which depends specifically on the type of 2D layer. The supersaturated solution can be diluted into a large amount after the customer gets it. The customer can then deposit the 2D layer onto the desired substrate by a simple process.
