Features And Benefits 2D layered Silver tantalum sulfide (AgTaS3) belongs to the family of ternary metal sulfides which are promising alternatives to noble metals for its excellent redox reversibility, high electronic conductivity and capacitance. Binary metal sulfides can be used as electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), supercapacitors (SC), and solar cells applications.
Atomically thin AgTaS3 layers can be synthesized through a facile probe sonication exfoliation of either bulk crystals or powder.

Application

Application AgTaS3 is nonlinear in optical response thus can have applications in signal processing, optical computers, ultrafast switches, ultra-short pulsed lasers, sensors and laser amplifiers.
AgTaS3 also may also be used for for low-power and high-speed electronics.
