Description Zirconium ditelluride is a semimetal with massless Dirac fermions. ZrTe2 belongs to the family of IV TMDCs and adopts a stable 1T octahedral structure. The electronic band structure of ZrTe2 has an interesting feature showing the intersection of the valence and conduction bands, indicating topological 3D Dirac semimetallic behavior near the Fermi level.
