Description

Description ReSe2 is a semiconductor (~1.1 eV). The layers are stacked together via van der Waals interactions and can be exfoliated into thin 2D layers. Rhenium diselenide is a Group VII transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC).

Application

Application Due to its reduced lattice symmetry, it also has potential applications in electronics, optoelectronics and thermoelectrics such as photodetectors, lasers and transistors.
ReSe2 has also a wide range of applications including strain sensors, stretchable electrodes, and flexible FETs, solar cells, and other photonic devices.
