Description Manganese phosphorus trisulfide (MnPS3) is a layered quasi-two-dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnet with a Néel temperature TN of 78 K. MnPS3 has a monoclinic structure of step group C2/m. MnPS3 shows typical antiferromagnetic behavior with an isotropic tendency. MnPS3 is a high resistance broadband semiconductor with a gap close to 3 eV with green optical transparency.
