Description

Description Alfa Chemistry synthesizes Kish graphite in the laboratory using a molten iron carbide cooling process to achieve research grade Kish graphite materials. Usually Kish graphite is a natural by-product of the stainless steel process and small graphite flakes are usually collected from the cooled iron surface. The purpose of this process is not to produce graphite, but to focus on producing iron with carbon impurities.

Features And Benefits

Features And Benefits We have developed the iron foil cooling process by dissolving carbon into thick iron foil through a mixture of semiconducting grade methane and ethane and carefully cooling to produce high quality kish graphite flakes. These crystals range in size from millimeters to 5-6 millimeters, with high purity (99.99% or higher) and crystallinity (perfect vdW structure, easy to exfoliate compared to HOPG).

Application

Application Energy storage, catalysis, analytical chemistry, mechanics, adsorption, biology, microelectronics, sensors, etc.
