Description Iron phosphorus triselenide (FePSe3) belongs to the layered MPX3 family. With a graphite-like layered structure, FePSe3 is a low-bandgap ternary magnetic semiconductor with p-type properties as a grown single crystal.

Features And Benefits FePSe3 is predicted to have an Ising-type antiferromagnetic ordering from its bulk form to ultrathin nanosheets. The antiferromagnetic semiconductor FePSe3 shows superconductivity as well as structural transition and disappearance of magnetic moment, with an onset Tc ~ 2.5 K around 9.0 GPa and a maximum Tc ~ 5.5 K around 30 GPa.
FePSe3 has a rhombohedral crystal system with space group R3̅ and undergoes an isostructural or quasi-isostructural phase transition under an applied pressure of ~8 GPa.

Application

Application Iron phosphorus triselenide (FePSe3) quantum sheets are excellent and highly stable trifunctional electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution, oxygen evolution, and oxygen reduction reactions. Apart from being one of the most effective electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER), FePSe3 can also be intercalated with llthium or sodium ions for batteries, transistors and other energy storage devices.
